The Great Paper Expansion in numbers
Live player stats from The Great Paper Expansion, the free idle game where you fold a sheet of paper until it reaches the edge of the universe. Every fold, tap and paper plane from every explorer, added up: how far players climb, the fastest runs to the edge, and how the community grows. Updated every day (last update: October 27, 2026).
Every number on this page is a total for the whole community, counted by the game's server, never anything about one player. Accounts hidden for cheating and the developer's own account aren't counted, so these are real players' numbers. World 1 is the paper climb; World 2, the Grove, has its own section further down.
World 1 The Paper World
How far everyone got
The share of explorers whose paper stack has passed each landmark. So far, 67% have folded their way past the Moon.
Highest fold reached
Each explorer's best climb, in groups of ten folds. The edge of the universe is fold 102; what lies beyond it is for you to find.
Fastest runs to the edge
The quickest single runs from a fresh sheet to the edge of the universe. Every unfold makes the next run faster.
Taps
How many times explorers have tapped the sky. On a log scale, because the record holder is in a league of their own.
How explorers tap
Every tap since October 20, 2026, by how it was made. Auto-clickers are welcome here, so their taps get a row of their own.
Growing day by day
Since launch on October 10, 150 explorers have started folding. The busiest day so far was October 14, with 47 new explorers. Together they've made 744,127 folds, up from 58,098 on October 14.
World 2 The Grove
The Grove opened on October 25, 2026 for every explorer who reaches the edge of the universe: a forest you run with a crew of woodcutters, haulers, planters and foragers. Here is every Grove added together. New to it? Read all about the Grove.
Grove levels
A Grove's level rises with all the wood it has ever earned. Here is how many Groves have reached each range.
Animals spotted
Wild animals wander through every Grove, but you only see them when you zoom in close. This is how many times explorers have spotted each one. Some are rare and only stay a few minutes.
Rare finds
Foragers and woodcutters sometimes turn up a rare find. Together, explorers have found 48 of the 62 kinds of finds so far (21,711 finds in all, counting repeats). Each bar shows how many kinds of that rarity at least one explorer has found.
Legendary and mythic finds
A few of the rarest things hidden in the Grove, and whether anyone has found one yet.
