Gameplay video
A short trailer made from real footage of The Great Paper Expansion, a free idle game you play in your browser.
What you're watching
Every game starts with one thin sheet of paper, 0.1 mm thick. Tap the sky to make paper, and when you have enough, fold. Every fold doubles the stack: two layers, then four, then eight. For the first few folds you watch the real sheet fold in half.
Doubling adds up fast. After 27 folds the stack is taller than Mount Everest. After 42 it reaches the Moon, after 51 the Sun, and after 69 it passes the nearest star. Each landmark comes with a real fact and pays gold, and the stack keeps climbing out among the galaxies.
Paper mills keep making paper for you, every second, even while the game is closed, so the climb goes on while you're away. Where it ends is for you to find out.
About the game
The Great Paper Expansion is an idle game, also called an incremental or clicker game. It's free, needs no download, and plays on a phone or a computer. Every number in the climb comes from real heights and distances, so you learn how big everything really is on the way.
